A floor-mounted static discharge post with a black touch ball on top: the operator rests a hand on the ball for a moment and the charge is taken off the body through the earth lead. The blue sign at chest height shows the hand-and-ground symbol, and the round base is bolted down so the post cannot be knocked out of line in a doorway.
Black touch ball — a single contact point at the top of the post; the operator simply rests a hand on it, with no button, pedal or key to operate.
Stainless steel post — polished tube that resists splash and wash-down, with the model label on the neck below the ball.
Blue instruction sign — hand-and-ground symbol with the warning to eliminate static electricity, in Chinese and English, fixed at chest height.
Bolted round base — the base plate has four fixing holes and bolts, so the post is anchored rather than free standing.
Earth lead at the foot — the post is bonded to the earthing system from the base, completing the discharge path.
No power, no consumables — nothing to recharge and no moving parts; a wipe of the ball is the whole maintenance routine.
