A ceiling-suspended extraction arm that carries its own weight on a pneumatic gas spring rather than on friction knobs. Two telescoping tubes slide against each other, the swivel base turns a full 360 degrees, and the hood end adds a short corrugated flex section so the last few centimetres can be aimed by hand. The whole arm is anodised aluminium with a transparent polycarbonate bell hood.
Gas-spring balance — a pneumatic cylinder carries the arm weight, so the hood can be moved multi-axis with one hand and stays locked at any angle without the joints being over-tightened.
Dual telescoping tubes — a 700 mm 125 mm-bore section and a 580 mm 100 mm-bore section slide inside one another, giving variable reach instead of a fixed-length arm.
360 degree swivel base — the base under the ceiling column turns a full circle, so the arm can be swung between two benches without remounting it.
1000 mm square ceiling column — an aluminium square column with a 170 x 200 mm bolted flange sized for a load-bearing soffit.
Transparent PC bell hood — a 375 mm polycarbonate hood rated to 120 degrees C, transparent enough to watch the reaction underneath while fumes are drawn away.
Damper knob at the hood — the airflow control valve sits at the hood end rather than at the ceiling, so the operator sets it while standing at the bench.
Quick-fit duct collar — a 100 mm or 110 mm connection collar takes flexible duct directly, which keeps the installation to one joint at the ceiling.
Anodised aluminium body — the finish resists acid and alkali vapour, organic solvents and thermal ageing, with nylon and stainless joint assemblies instead of plated hardware.
