A ceiling-mounted extraction arm built around a 110 x 110 mm anodised aluminium square column rather than a plain round tube. The square column carries a 197 x 197 mm bolted flange at the ceiling plate, runs down 940 mm, and then hands over to three round aluminium arms with a clear polycarbonate dome at the end. Because the hood is transparent, the operator can watch the reaction or the joint being extracted while the arm is in position.

• Anodised aviation-grade aluminium — sandblasted satin silver finish on tube and column, which resists chemical attack and surface scratching without paint to chip.

• 110 x 110 mm square column — a square duct section 940 mm long with a 110 mm side outlet, stiffer against sway than a round tube of the same wall thickness.

• 197 x 197 mm ceiling flange — a heavy plate with four 12 mm bolt holes, sized to spread the load into a concrete soffit rather than a plasterboard ceiling.

• Clear PC dome hood — a 380 mm high-transparency polycarbonate dome, 120 mm deep, so the extraction point stays visible while fumes are captured underneath it.

• Three-joint damped articulation — high-impact POM and PP joints with stainless spring locks, giving 360 degree swivel that holds position instead of drifting once released.

• Stepped arm geometry — a 400 mm drop followed by 720, 520, 320 and 120 mm sections, which lets the hood reach round equipment rather than only straight down.

• Butterfly damper in the duct — a manual knob sets flow steplessly, so several arms on one fan can be balanced against each other.

• Packs as separate sections — column, arms, joints and hood travel in one carton and are assembled on site, which keeps freight volume down on multi-arm projects.
