This is the stand rather than the eye wash: a yellow steel trolley with a bolted plate at eye height for a 30 litre portable tank, push handles at hip level, a deck with a retaining lip, castors underneath and a yellow catch crate on the deck. Fit your tank to the plate and a tank that lived on a shelf becomes a station you can wheel to the job.

It suits two buyers: the site that already owns 30 L tanks and wants them mobile, and the site that wants to keep the tank and the frame as separate items for storage and replacement.

What It Converts

• Fixed tank to mobile station – the plate takes the tank at standing eye height, so the nozzles sit where a leaning user expects them.

• No plumbing involved – the tank keeps its own water; the trolley adds wheels and a frame, nothing else.

• Separate replacement – a damaged tank can be swapped without replacing the trolley, and vice versa.

• Storage friendly – tank off the frame, both parts stack against a wall between campaigns.

Frame Features

• Tank plate – horizontal plate with two fixing bolts; the tank bolts on and cannot slide.

• Tall frame – puts the tank at eye height and leaves the deck clear for the crate.

• Push handles – rubber grips at hip height, set wide enough to steer a loaded trolley.

• Deck with retaining lip – the crate sits in place instead of sliding off over a sill.

Assembly and Use

1. Unpack the frame, fit the castors and check the brakes work.

2. Bolt the tank bracket to the plate; check the tank sits square and the nozzles are at eye height for the shortest regular user.

3. Fit the crate on the deck with the retaining lip in front.

4. Fill the tank, wheel the trolley to the hazard and brake the castors.

5. Pull the tank cover down and confirm the water falls into the crate, not behind it.

6. Mark the unit with its measured flush duration, as for any gravity tank.

Maintenance

• Monthly: check plate bolts, handle grips, castor brakes and the crate lip.

• Quarterly: check the frame paint at welds and the deck edge; touch up before rust starts.

• Annually: check the plate for distortion and replace any castor that no longer swivels freely.

• Follow the tank's own weekly water change schedule — the trolley does not change it.

Standards and Compliance

A trolley is an accessory: it does not make a tank compliant on its own. The eyewash fitted to it still has to meet ANSI Z358.1 for flow and hands-free operation, still has to be filled with tepid water, changed weekly and set within about ten seconds of the hazard, and a gravity tank still cannot deliver the fifteen-minute flush — record the measured duration on the unit and treat it as a first-response station.
