An eye wash that does not keep water. The yellow ABS bowl sits on a stainless arm, and the bowl's outlet runs into a straight stainless leg that drops away below the unit, so after a flush the bowl empties itself instead of holding a pool against the drain boss.
Twin nozzles with yellow heads, a yellow PUSH plate with red pictogram and black lettering on a bracket beside the bowl, and a round stainless wall flange that carries the whole assembly with nothing on the floor.
No standing water – a bowl that empties cannot grow the film that forms in warm standing water between weekly tests.
Hygiene and audit – in food, beverage and pharmaceutical areas, a fixture that drains itself is far easier to defend in an inspection than one holding a puddle.
Freeze margin – in unheated spaces, water left in the bowl is what splits plastic bowls and cracks metal ones; emptying the bowl removes that volume.
Easy to clean – the bowl can be wiped and left dry, so the next user starts from a clean surface.
Visible drain condition – a blocked leg shows up immediately after the weekly activation, because water stays where it should not.
Yellow ABS bowl – moulded, rolled edge, resistant to acid and alkali splash.
Stainless arm and drain leg – rigid support plus a straight vertical outlet below the bowl.
Twin nozzles – yellow heads on stainless stems, angled for eye-level flushing.
Round stainless wall flange – bolt to wall, covers the pipe entry.
Yellow PUSH plate – red pictogram, black lettering, stainless frame, bracketed beside the bowl.

Set the flange height so the nozzles sit at eye level for the shortest regular user.
Plan the drain run first: the leg must fall continuously to a gully, channel or tray. A leg with a level section will hold water and defeat the purpose.
Anchor the flange; the wall must take the load of someone leaning into the bowl.
Connect supply and drain, fit an isolation valve upstream, and flush the line before use.
Run the unit, release the plate, and watch the bowl empty. Any water left standing points to a fall or blockage problem.
Confirm the PUSH plate latches open, closes cleanly and faces the approach.
Weekly: activate the unit, check both nozzles run clear and the bowl empties fully.
Monthly: check flange fixings, the drain leg joints and the latch.
Quarterly: clean nozzles and strainer; check the ABS bowl for crazing around the outlet.
Annually: measure the flow and re-check the drain fall after any building work.
Designed to meet ANSI Z358.1-2014 eyewash requirements for flow, hands-free operation and bowl coverage. The unit must be within about ten seconds of the hazard, on the same level, supplied with tepid water and activated weekly — site responsibilities. A self-emptying bowl is not a substitute for a working drain: where the leg cannot fall to a gully, specify a unit over a tray or channel instead. An eye wash does not replace a drench shower where the body may also be exposed.
Food and beverage production, pharmaceutical and cosmetics areas, laboratories, plant rooms, cold stores and unheated buildings, and any wall position where a bowl full of standing water would be a hygiene or freezing problem.
Order by model RYEW-ABS-D01. Please state mounting height, inlet size and the drain route. Stainless bowl versions, units with a plain centre drain, bench-mounted models on a base plate, and combination shower and eyewash stations are also available.
