An eye wash that goes where the work is: bolted to a wall, a bench end or a shelf beside a sink, at the height of the people who will use it. The bowl is polished stainless steel with a deep profile that keeps water over the face instead of letting it splash straight off the rim, and the twin spray heads sit close together so both eyes are covered by one position.
The green PUSH sign is mounted on the push plate itself, so the instruction and the control are the same object. Nobody has to work out which part of the unit is the switch.
Bench end or sink side – within reach of the person who was working, not across the room.
Wall in a workshop or plant room – close to the battery bench, the parts washer or the chemical store.
Laboratory – where a floor-standing station would block the walkway.
Vehicle or container workshops – bolted to a bench that already has a water line.
The plate is pressed to start the flow and latched open, so both hands are free to hold the eyelids.
The sign bracket is fixed to the plate, which means the label cannot be turned away or hidden behind stored goods.
Pressing the plate back closes the valve; there is no separate handle to hunt for.
Sign and plate are one assembly, so replacing a faded sign does not mean changing the valve.
Deep stainless bowl – polished, with a rolled rim and a drain outlet.
Twin spray heads – green bodies with yellow protective caps; angled for eye-level flushing.
Stainless base plate – bolt-down plate under the bowl pedestal.
Single water connection – supply enters at the rear of the unit.
Green PUSH sign – white pictogram and lettering on a green plate with a metal frame.

Fix at the height that suits the users, with the spray heads at eye level and the bowl clear of the bench edge.
Bolt the base plate down; check it is square and that the bowl cannot tip when pressed.
Connect the supply, fit an isolation valve upstream and flush the line before the unit is used.
Run the eyewash and set the flow; both heads should deliver an even, soft stream without splashing out of the bowl.
Check the push plate latches open and closes cleanly, and that the sign faces the approach.
Confirm the drain discharges freely and does not leave water standing in the bowl.
Weekly: activate the unit and check both heads run clear; clean the caps and the bowl rim.
Monthly: check the push plate latch and the drain.
Quarterly: clean the heads, check the supply strainer, confirm the sign is legible.
Annually: measure the flow rate and re-check against the standard after any change to the water system.
An eye wash has to be reachable within about ten seconds of the hazard, on the same level, with nothing in the way. This unit is designed to meet ANSI Z358.1-2014 eyewash requirements for flow, hands-free operation and bowl coverage, but siting, tepid water supply, signage at the approaches and weekly activation remain installation and site responsibilities. Where both eyes and body may be exposed, a drench shower is required as well — an eye wash alone does not replace it.
Laboratories, workshops, battery rooms, paint and solvent stores, plant rooms, vehicle workshops, and any bench position where a chemical or particle hazard sits within arm's reach.
Order by model RYEW-WM-01. Please state mounting height, inlet size and whether a wall bracket or a bench top plate is required. Foot-pedal and vertical floor-standing eye washes, combination shower and eyewash stations, and ABS bowl versions are also available.
