Most stations ask the buyer to choose between a foot control and a push plate, and to accept whatever flow the network delivers. This one carries both the foot control and a flow regulator, plus twin nozzles and a pictogram sign, on the same stainless column: the pedal starts the flush without hands, the regulator holds the eyewash to the rate the site needs, and the sign tells anyone standing at the station what to do first.
The overhead deluge shower runs on a yellow triangular pull handle with a stay-open valve, so the water keeps falling while contaminated clothing is removed. The column is 304 stainless on a bolted floor flange with a single supply, and a yellow PUSH plate marks the eyewash control at the basin.
Chain foot pedal – the eyewash opens when the pedal is pressed and closes when the foot is lifted; both hands stay on the eyelids for the whole flush.
Flow regulator on the eyewash branch – the flush is trimmed at commissioning to the required rate, so a high-pressure site does not sting and a long branch line does not fall short. The shower keeps its full flow.
Green pictogram sign – shows the shower pull and the eyewash step in sequence at the top of the column, so the station is usable by someone who has never stood at it before.
Nothing electrical – the pedal acts on the valve through a chain, so the station works when the plant supply is down and needs no electrical isolation for maintenance.
A stream for each eye – both eyes flushed at once, no steering a single head from side to side.
Individual caps – dust or scale shows up nozzle by nozzle rather than being hidden by a common cover.
Balanced after regulation – once the branch flow is set, the two nozzles are trimmed against each other so the flush is even.
Chain-linked foot pedal – stainless pedal plate at the base, chain to the eyewash valve, adjustable stroke.
Flow regulator – on the eyewash branch, set at commissioning and re-adjustable on site.
Twin capped nozzles – two fixed-angle streams in an open stainless basin.
Green instruction sign – pictogram plate on the column showing the operating sequence.
Yellow PUSH sign – identifies the eyewash control at the basin.
Overhead deluge shower – large bowl-shaped head, yellow triangular pull handle, stay-open valve.
Single inlet – one 1-1/4 inch supply for both functions, one isolation point.
304 stainless steel – column, basin, shower arm and pedal in polished stainless.
Bolted floor flange – fixed to a level floor; no platform or pit.

Reach the station within 10 seconds and stand at the basin with the pedal under one foot.
Press the pedal; the valve opens and both nozzles start.
Hold the eyelids open with thumbs and forefingers and roll the eyes so the flow reaches under each lid; keep the foot down for the whole flush.
For body contamination, pull the yellow triangular handle; the shower valve stays open until pushed back.
Flush for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention; release the pedal and close the shower valve afterwards.
Position on a level, load-bearing floor on the same level as the hazard, within 10 seconds' travel, with clear standing room at the pedal and under the shower head.
Anchor through the floor flange and check the column is plumb.
Connect the single supply, flush the line first, then pressure test at 0.2 – 0.4 MPa.
Set the chain length so the eyewash valve opens fully before the pedal reaches the floor, and closes completely when the foot is lifted.
Open the eyewash and set the regulator so the measured flow matches the required rate; record the setting.
Trim the two nozzles against each other until the streams are even and stay inside the basin.
Mount the green pictogram plate at reading height on the column, fix the PUSH plate, and record both flow rates, the regulator setting and the commissioning date.
Weekly: press the pedal and confirm the eyewash starts and stops cleanly; clear both caps; check both signs are legible.
Monthly: clean the nozzles and the shower head face; check the chain for wear or slack and the regulator for drift.
Quarterly: inspect the pedal plate, chain anchor and valve lever for corrosion or binding; check the column and flange bolts.
Annually: re-measure eyewash and shower flow, re-trim the regulator if the network has changed, replace worn seals, caps or the chain, and re-tag the unit.
The station is designed to the performance requirements of ANSI Z358.1-2014 and EN 15154: hands-free eyewash activation, a stay-open shower valve, a controlled low-pressure eyewash flush, full-body shower coverage and clear signage identifying the equipment. Because the eyewash flow is regulated, the setting must be verified at commissioning and again at the annual inspection; a regulator left unchecked is the usual reason a station drifts out of specification. Installation on the same level as the hazard, within 10 seconds' travel, with heads at the heights set by the standard, must be verified at commissioning.
Chemical and pharmaceutical plants, plating and surface treatment, battery plants, food processing, and sites where the network pressure is unreliable, the station has to be usable without individual training, and the eyewash flow has to be held to a specification.
Order by model RYFHS036. Please state the supply pressure at the station, the required eyewash flow rate, floor type, whether a thermostatic mixing valve is required, and the required basin height. Push-plate and fixed-flow versions of the same column are available where a pedal or an adjustable regulator is not needed.
