Most framed windsocks arrive as three things: a cone, a ring, and an arm or a set of straps that joins the ring to the pole. Each joint is a place where something can be lost, fitted wrongly or work loose in wind. This unit is made as one piece — the cone is built onto a rigid ring frame that mounts straight onto the pole — so the assembly has fewer parts and one obvious way to go together.
The cone is solid red with silver reflective bands, on a stainless steel pole with a round base plate. It reads by day against sky and structures, and returns light from headlamps or floodlights after dark without any power supply.
Fewer joints – no swivel hook, no strap set, no separate bracket between ring and pole; there is nothing to lose on site.
Fixed mouth geometry – the ring holds the mouth round, so the cone lifts in light air instead of collapsing.
Consistent reading – a mouth that cannot distort is a mouth whose extension reliably indicates wind strength.
Fast to erect and to store – cone and frame handled as one item, which also suits sites that take the indicator down between campaigns.
One-piece cone and ring frame – rigid circular frame integrated with the cone mouth.
Reflective red body – solid red with silver bands spaced along the taper.
Stainless steel pole – corrosion-resistant, capped top.
Round base plate – bolt-down plate for a plinth, deck or concrete block.
Free rotation on the pole – the frame turns to face the wind without a separate swivel fitting.

Choose a position visible from the approach it serves, clear of doors, escape routes and vehicle paths.
Bolt the base plate to a level plinth, deck or concrete block.
Stand the pole and check plumb before final tightening.
Fit the integrated cone and frame to the pole top and confirm it rotates freely through a full circle.
Check the cone hangs and lifts evenly, and that the ring has not been deformed in transit.
After dark, confirm the reflective bands pick up light from the main approach.
Monthly: check the ring is round and the frame joint on the pole is sound; check the cone for splits at the mouth.
Quarterly: wash the reflective bands with water only; check pole and base for corrosion.
After storms: check for a bent ring or a twisted frame; either changes how the cone reads.
Replace the integrated cone and frame as one item when the fabric is worn out; the pole and plate stay in service.
The unit provides a wind direction indicator with a fixed mouth area and reflective banding rather than illumination. Night visibility therefore depends on traffic or site lighting aimed at the cone, and an isolated unlit position will stay dark. Pole height, anchoring, siting relative to the hazard or approach and local requirements for wind indicators should be confirmed at installation.
Construction and haul roads, quarries, ports and laydown yards, chemical plants, temporary compounds, and sites that prefer a single-part indicator with no loose fittings.
Order by model RYWS-RR-I01. Please state pole height, cone length and fixing method. Strap-hung and bracketed ring-frame versions, orange and white segmented cones, and illuminated assemblies with dual LED floodlights are also available where fitting style or night visibility requirements differ.
